Sub Committee on International Network for Water and Ecosystem in Paddy Fields: INWEPF Malaysian Committee

 

Chairman: Tn. Hj. Abdull Halim bin Abdull Jalil, Deputy Director (BPSP)

Secretary: Tn. Hj. Yazid bin Abdullah, Head of Irrigation & Drainage Unit (BPSP)

Responsibility:

1. To coordinate and support the INWEPF activities as identified in TOR.
2. To formulate the framework and activities in Malaysia in order to support INWEPF and to be useful for Malaysia development.
3. To coordinate with related agencies in Malaysia for implementing the item 1 and 2.
4. To set up the working group for implementing the INWEPF activities.
   
   

The 3 Working Groups:

WG1   : Multiple Roles of Paddy Fields
Lead   : INWEPF Malaysia

WG2   : Vision, Policy and Information Dissemination on INWEPF activities and programs
Lead   : INWEPF Korea

WG3   : Monetary Assessment and Value Adding in the Multifunctional Roles of Paddy Fields
Lead   : INWEPF Japan

Administrative Biro/Working Group

Chairman      : Ir. Mohd. Azmi bin Ismail
Secretary      : SV Kalaiselvam a/l Velayudan/ Thian Kim Tai

Responsibility:

1. To carry out MANCID concerns and to coordinate MANCID and ICID, including the committees.
2. To conduct plan and budget for MANCID implementation.
3. To coordinate and arrange the meetings.

 

Finance Biro/Working Group

Chairman      : Hj. Jamil Bin Shaari
Secretary      : SV Kalaiselvam a/l Velayudan/ Thian Kim Tai

Responsibility:

1. To collect and publish technical paper/bulletin.
2. To select technical paper for publishing.
3. To conduct and manage MANCID website.

 

MANCID Annual Conference Biro/Working Group

Chairman      : Hj. Mohd. Yazid bin Abdullah
Secretary      : Thian Kim Tai

Responsibility:

1. To produce themes for the event.
2. To select technical papers/keynotes.
3. To invite participants/foreign presenters/local.
4. To conduct and manage the conference.
5. To finalise the selected papers for proceeding.
